The Umbrella Effect

went for a painfully boring (not to say useless..) lecture today. i just KNEW it was going to be boring n useless.. but i still went.. cos the timetable said "REVIEW".. and the last time we had a review.. it was a review about vs as well. so i thought maybe my ou xiang was going to be there.. and i went.

i don't suppose i have to state whether or not he was there.. since i alreadi said it was boring n useless.

that's the way things alwaes go.. u're afraid of missing out on something.. so u go for it.. and in e end.. there's nothing to miss anyway. like bringing out ur umbrella bcos it's cloudy and dark outside.. and not a drop of rain falls the entire day. it's irritating.. and u scold urself for troubling urself with the umbrella. but then another dark and cloudy day comes.. and u still bring ur umbrella out.. though u noe it's probably not going to rain (and most of the time u're right).. just in case..

life is full of uncertainties.. the only way we try to cope with all these possibilities is to be prepared for anything that can happen.. and to do everything.. so that we won't have to live with the regret of missing out on an opportunity bcos we weren't prepared.

and i recall how i never ever missed sch if i can help it. -something- could happen.. and i didn't want to deprive myself of any possibility.. no matter how small it is. and even tho -nothing- ever happened in the end.. i still persevered.. just in case. at least i never haf to live with any regrets about it..
