last night i dreamt of you
and in my heart i found
remnants of a forgotten dream

i wonder why feelings can seem to go away.. and yet once in a while they come back to you. and then u realise that u are capable of feeling that way.. even tho u haven't felt it in ages.

it's a little bit like waves. comes and goes. washes up the shores.. and then retreats. over and over again.

maybe a dream is more like a low tide. the waves don't wash that high up the shores. all u feel is a shadow of what u used to feel. maybe doing or seeing things that remind u of the past can be considered a low tide as well.

high tides are probably slightly more.. eventful.. for lack of a better word. something that actually happens.. something tangible that brings that feeling flooding back.

can it eventually go away? i think so. if the moon goes far enough.. we won't have waves will we? if we can let go of the moon completely.. or at least let it go far enough so that it won't have any more influence on our waters.. the waves will stop.

but letting go.. what's considered letting go? sometimes we've let go.. and yet once in a while the waves still come back. maybe the moon's not far enough. maybe it's not enough to let go that much. then again.. can we ever let go completely? but that, i think, is a completely different issue..
