clinical practice in the community (ie, gp surgery session) today. i love going to the gp surgery. i think the gp is becoming another ou xiang of mine. he's soooo good at what he does (ie, being a doctor).

he's not like my ou xiang tho (my original ou xiang i mean). my ou xiang is witty n charismatic and completely good and kind. my close-to-be-another-ou-xiang (hereafter referred to as dr f) is just nice. like REALLY nice. not the jolly-always-smiling-and-joking kinda nice. (<-- that's more like my vs tutor last yr) he's just nice in a normal way. i'm not being very articulate here.

he's nice to his patients.. very doctor-ish.. very understanding, empathetic, but retaining the doctor-ish aura. and his patients really respect him and LIKE him. do u get what i'm trying to say here?

and he's nice to the medical students he's teaching (ie, us three). he doesn't patronise.. he isn't stern.. he talks to us like we're grown ups.. he's always thinking whether or not we're learning things, whether or not he's teaching something useful, whether or not we're benefitting from the session.

and he's nice as a person. we were having lunch in the doctor's room and the sun was shining in my eye. i was lazy and just took a book to cover my eyes. he got up, walked all the way around the room to where the blinds are, and shut them. then he turned ard and asked me if it was better. HAHAHA.. i felt so lazy.. cos i was just 3 steps away from the blinds.

so.. i wanna grow up to be just like dr f. and like my ou xiang too. a combination.
